Getting started
Storefront tracking & consent
Sendcore tracks storefront behaviour — visits, product views, cart updates and checkouts — to trigger automations, attribute revenue and power Live view. Tracking is privacy-first and only runs after the shopper consents.
On Shopify
Connecting Shopify activates a web pixel automatically. It runs in Shopify's secure sandbox and, where required, only fires after the shopper consents via Shopify's Customer Privacy API. Nothing to paste into your theme for events to work.
Enable the Sendcore theme app embed once — it's what renders your signup forms on the storefront and identifies visitors for automations:
- In Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open App embeds and toggle on Sendcore.
- Save. Forms and visitor identification are now active on your storefront.
Consent stays yours
On WooCommerce
For WooCommerce, order and customer sync happen server-to-server over the REST API you approved — no snippet required for revenue and audience.
On-site behaviour (and your signup forms) need Sendcore on the page. Install the Sendcore WordPress plugin — download it from Settings → WooCommerce, then Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → pick the .zip → Install → Activate. Prefer no plugin? The same card gives you a one-line script for your theme footer.
Step-by-step, for someone new to WordPress: Show your forms on WooCommerce.
Identifying visitors
When a shopper gives you their email on your storefront — logging in, landing from an email link, or typing it into a form — Sendcore passes it to the store so anonymous browsing can be tied to that person. That's what lets an abandoned-cart automation reach the right customer.
What gets tracked
- Store visit — first page of a session.
- Product view — a product page.
- Cart update — items added to cart.
- Checkout started — reached checkout.
- Order placed — a purchase (also drives revenue attribution).
See it all in real time on Live view.
